Hi Girls

I have found a Venue for a Scrapbook retreat
9am til 2am Saturday with coffee & Tea and Biscuits served twice, a buffet lunch and an evening meal. Overnight accomodation en suite with breakfast
Sunday 9am til 5pm buffet lunch and two tea/coffee breaks
two classes and several challenges
all inclusive price £175 I would need to book early in order to secure the places and would need to take £100 as a deposit
At the moment the date would be 13th and 14th March 2010 but at this stage I am looking for positive responses I believe we could run it with 15 but I aim to open it to other scrapbook clubs and will be advertising in the Scrapbook Inspirations magazine...
What do you think are you up for it? need to know by 30th September

Are you looking forward to Septembers Party meeting?
I know I am ... We are going to have some great prizes and two challenges plus a surprise for everyone attending this month. The buffet food sounds like its going to be great so I may have to have a day off from the diet!
Don't forget to let us know if you are coming as I am now emailing 30 people our newsletter and as you know we only have 14 spaces.
I am still working on a plan to host a weekend of Scrapping but have not yet finalised the details watch this space

So how many of you signed up for the very cheap scrapbook weekend @ Butlins in November ?? Cathryn and I could not resist so once again I shall be agonizing over what stash to take versus what to leave home .... not an easy task I can assure you will let you know what it was like later in the year.
I have not discounted hosting a weekend ourselves yet but the logistics need some ironing out. once again watch this space.
What about this birthday buffet lunch then are you up for it ??? I will send emails to ask for contributions to the buffet for September ie a quiche or some sausage rolls I will probably make a cake or an eton mess!! depending on how much time I leave myself

I hope you all had a good time on Sunday I'm sorry I was not on great form but I felt lousy
I was thinking we ought to have a sketch or scraplift challenge this month and I will come up with one for the newsletter.
If you could fill in the forms I gave out on Sunday that would be great we really do need feedback so we can make the club what you want!

mid month challenge for those of you that have a spare moment is anything that is evoked by the words "Hard Work"
so create a page with this them and bring on the 2nd August to possibly win a prize!

We met Michelle when we were at the retreat in Lee Valley organized by Scrapaway and she is coming to our crop from Kent so lets hope she has as great a time as we do!!

Sorry I missed you in June but I was away on a much needed holiday
Pat has kindly agreed to write the newsletter for July's meeting
Just to remind you it is actually our clubs 1st Birthday but since so many of our regulars cannot make it we will hold over the celebrations until Sept/Oct
